I like having my dolls age with me, that way their writing, events etc don't seem odd for their age, and I can relate to them more. My youngest, Sierra, is 13, and my oldest, Lissie, is 18. They were all going to get younger as I got more dolls, but I stopped at Marie, who's a year younger than I am. My mom decided on Sierra's age (she was a surprise) but otherwise they're usually in High School. That way they can have a Homecoming, Prom, newspaper, boyfriends, etc...

My dolls are all 9-10. In fact, they start each year at age 9 (like beginnning the book series) and end then turn 10 in the course of the year. The exception to the rule are my Molly, who is Lisbeth in my house and thus around age 13. Emma is also around 10 (my AGT) but if I ever get my look-alike (long black hair/no bangs/fair skin/blue eyes) she'll be older- around 15. Also, my Yrillien (Carpatina Julia) is much older- a few hundred years old- but since she's an elf she lives a very long time and is thus more like a young woman.

My girls kinda age with me, but not. (I'm a younger member.11.) Though I got Anna when I was 7, she was 9. When I got my new girls, they became the age of Anna. When I was 10 they didn't have an age, just between 11-12 or something. Now they're 11.

My historical dolls stay the ages they are in their books - from 9 to 11 years old. My modern girls tend to be a bit older - most of them are 11 to 13 and are middle schoolers. They don't age, though - none of my girls will ever get to high school.

All my dolls remain the same age: 10-11. I will celebrate their birthdays and stuff but they do not age.

My dolls are all 21 so they are legal HA!
I'm just kidding. I'd say they are 12. Often I feel that the historicals are a little bit more mature than 9 or 10, so 12 seems more like their age to me.
